CBD E-liquids
CBD e-liquids are made in the same way as traditional electronic cigarette liquids are. They're comprised of a neutral mix of propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin, enhanced with food-grade flavorings. However, they don't contain any nicotine, but CBD or cannabidiol instead, a molecule that is naturally found in hemp plants.
People often confuse CBD and THC, but CBD is not psychotropic. It only has a mild relaxing effect that can be used to help smokers quit, for example.
You'll find here all the CBD e-liquids sold by A&L, all made in a French laboratory in compliance with current health standards, which guarantee a THC level of 0.2% or lower, as set by law.

What is CBD?
CBD is an abbreviation of cannabidiol, a molecule of the cannabinoid family that’s naturally present in cannabis.
It is one of the two most studied hemp molecules, because of its possible applications in various medical fields. The second molecule is THC, which is the most famous. The latter is cannabis’ psychotropic element.
Many studies over the years have highlighted CBD’s potential anxiolytic effects, which could calm the user, help combat stress and relax the muscles.
Nowadays, CBD can be found in various forms, including oils, crystals, creams or, as is the case here, vape e-liquids.
Why put CBD in e-liquids?
The CBD molecule can be vapourised at low temperatures, similar to the ones an electronic cigarette can achieve.
Moreover, its bioavailability when inhaled reaches 20% as opposed to just 10% when swallowed. Therefore, you consume a greater amount of the CBD molecule when you vapourise it rather than ingesting it. That’s why e-liquids and electronic cigarettes in general have become very interesting tools for safely and effectively consuming CBD.
The composition of a CBD e-liquid
Classic e-liquids and CBD e-liquids have a similar composition.
Indeed, they’re both made from a neutral base liquid, itself made up of propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerin (VG), along with some flavourings to make the e-liquid more interesting.
However, you’ll notice that CBD e-liquids often have an 80PG / 20VG ratio. This is because CBD is mainly produced as crystals, which can sometimes struggle to dissolve in vegetable glycerin.
This is why a high PG content is better for CBD e-liquids. You get less vapour but more flavour, and, ultimately, a more enjoyable vaping experience.
What is THC?
THC is short for tetrahydrocannabinol, a molecule of the cannabinoid family. It is naturally found in cannabis and is well known for its psychoactive effects on the brain.
In France, THC is classed as a narcotic and its use and distribution is prohibited, except for medical purposes.
Choosing a CBD dosage
As we said earlier, CBD e-liquids and ‘traditional’ e-liquids have a similar composition. The only difference is that there is no nicotine in CBD liquids. Nicotine and CBD have completely opposite effects, therefore we don’t recommend mixing them in the same liquid.
CBD dosages are generally expressed in mg/10ml, such as 30, 50, 100, 500 or 1000 mg/10ml. There are also some liquids with the more traditional mg/ml dosage, but they’re rarer.
Furthermore, CBD affects people in various ways. Everyone has a different sensitivity, so it’s important you get used to the product bit by bit, trusting your feeling until you find the right dosage.
We’ve come up with 3 major dosages, suited to 3 types of CBD consumption:
- Low dosages of 100 mg/10ml or less (or 10 mg/ml), which will have a minor effect for repeated use throughout the day.
- Medium dosages of about 300 mg/10ml (or 30 mg/ml), which will have a stronger effect. With a dosage like this, you should wait a bit between your vaping sessions.
- High dosages of 500 mg/10ml (or 50 mg/ml), which should only be used from time to time.
For dosages greater than 500 mg/10ml, we recommend diluting the CBD with some neutral and nicotine-free base liquid, like you would do for a nicotine booster, until you find a dosage that suits your particular needs.
Which electronic cigarette should I use to vape CBD?
Generally speaking, you can use a CBD e-liquid with any type of electronic cigarette.
However, CBD e-liquids produce a rather significant hit (the feeling in your throat when the vapour passes through), equal to that of nicotine.
Moreover, CBD e-liquids cost more, which discourages vapers from using equipment that vapourises a lot of liquid.
Thus, it’s more interesting to use a relatively simple electronic cigarette for CBD vaping. A clearomiser or atomiser with a tight draw, a low power and a coil with a resistive value greater than 1 ohm will allow you to vapourise your CBD in the best conditions.
We offer many simple electronic cigarette kits, such as podmods, which will enable you to vape your CBD e liquid in the best conditions, and at the lowest price.
Why are CBD e-liquids more expensive than classic e-liquids?
Manufacturers use a complicated extraction process to produce the purest CBD products, completely free from any THC.
There are also many manufacturing standards that need to be complied with, which include a whole series of tests before the product is launched. All this, as you can expect, adds to the product’s cost.
Why can you buy CBD e-liquids and not THC liquids?
There are no THC e-liquids for sale, at least in France, for the simple reason that the THC molecule is strictly forbidden.
Legally, a CBD e-liquid must contain less than 0.2% THC to be sold in France. This is why you will only find THC-free CBD e-liquids on the Arômes et Liquides store. You can vape quality CBD liquids with peace of mind.
What is the difference between CBD and THC?
CBD and THC are both cannabinoids, that is, molecules extracted from the cannabis plant. Although people often mistake one for the other, and their molecular structure is very similar, CBD and THC have very different and even opposing effects.
THC is a psychoactive substance that alters the consumer's state of consciousness, whereas CBD impacts the nervous system only. It calms you down, without any of THC’s psychotropic effects.
How to vape CBD e-liquids
There are a few factors to take into account if you want to fully enjoy your CBD e-liquids.
In general, we recommend a tight draw with an indirect inhale. This will limit the hit, produce more accurate flavours and reduce your e-liquid consumption, seeing as the latter is a little more expensive than average.
An important thing to remember as well is that short and spaced out sessions will give more time for your body to absorb the CBD, and therefore enjoy its properties to the fullest.
What are CBD's effects on the body?
The CBD molecule has various proven therapeutic or pharmacological effects.
As numerous scientific studies show, CBD has anxiolytic properties. In other words, it has a relaxing and calming effect on users, which could help treat sleeping disorders caused by stress or anxiety.
Adding to this, other studies show that CBD could reduce withdrawal symptoms caused by various addictions. Thus, this molecule could help smokers quit their tobacco or nicotine addiction.
Finally, CBD could also have some possible analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, but these properties still need to be corroborated by the scientific community.
We do remind you that CBD e-liquids should not be seen as medicine. You cannot replace a medicinal treatment with CBD liquids, under any circumstances.
How to make your own DIY CBD e-liquid
You can make your own CBD e-liquid if you wish, as you would do for any other DIY e-liquid.
We offer CBD boosters that only need to be mixed with the base liquid of your choice, along with a flavour concentrate that’ll add the finishing touch to your homemade CBD e-liquid!
It then becomes very easy to adjust your CBD dosage to suit your needs, all whilst saving money and making large batches of juice at once!
