You've probably heard the expression ‘like a Phoenix rising from the ashes’. But where does this popular saying come from? Let us tell you about the legend behind this mythical creature, which inspired the creation of Curieux’s tasty concentrate.

The Phoenix is said to be a fabulous bird from Greco-Roman mythology, a symbol of longevity. This majestic bird has the power to be reborn after consuming itself in flames. How do you explain this?

Feeling its end coming, the Phoenix built itself a cosy nest with vanilla pods, a helping of cream, and some coconut husks. Once it consumed itself, the Phoenix concentrate arose from the ashes, to be adopted by the chefs over at Curieux.

How to make your own DIY e-liquid 

The Phoenix, like any other concentrate, needs to be mixed with a PG/VG base liquid before use. To do so:

1. Grab an empty graduated bottle
2. Pour the right amount of Phoenix concentrate in it, which is 15% for a 50PG/50VG ratio, or 75 drops per 10ml
3. Top up with PG/VG base liquid (with or without nicotine in it)
4. Close the bottle and shake well
5. Leave your mix to steep for 2 to 3 days before vaping it, in a dry place away from direct sunlight

The Phoenix is a flavour concentrate for DIYing, made in France by Curieux for its Édition Astrale range. This concentrate is made from food flavourings and propylene glycol, and must be diluted in a PG/VG liquid of your choice before use.
