You should also store them away from heat sources and check the surface before each use. If you observe any damage, do not use it. It is possible to repair the surface by putting 18650 wraps.

When you install your batteries in dedicated places on your mods, also check that the compartment doesn't have any trace of e-liquids.

For the recharging, take an external equipment. The latter is more suited and it will guarantee better longevity of your battery while protecting it from short-circuits, overvoltage, or overload.
