How to boost a Shake'n Vape e-liquid?

Since the introduction of the TPD, it is now impossible to package nicotine e-liquids for electronic cigarettes in formats larger than 10ml. To address this issue, "shortfill e-liquids" (or Shake'n Vape) are generally available in 60ml bottles filled to 50ml and do not contain nicotine.

The principle is simple and consists of adding nicotine yourself using boosters. With e-liquids known as shortills, adding a nicotine booster will dilute them to obtain a nicotine e-liquid in a format larger than 10ml. To boost a Shake'n Vape e-liquid:

1. Take the bottle of e-liquid of your choice in the "shortfill" format
2. Remove the dropper tip
3. Pour all of your nicotine booster into the bottle
4. Close the bottle and shake vigorously
5. You now have a 60ml bottle of e-liquid with 3mg/ml of nicotine

How to make your own nicotine base?

DIY enthusiasts appreciate being able to make a base for their e-cigarette e-liquids that suits them, as they can adjust both the PG/VG ratio and the nicotine level.

Once you know the total volume of liquid you want, you can make your nicotine base by following these steps:

1. First, pour all the boosters you need to achieve the desired volume into your empty bottle
2. Fill the rest of the bottle with your neutral, nicotine-free base
3. Close the bottle and shake it to mix the neutral base and nicotine base thoroughly
4. Your nicotine base is ready to use! However, if you also add flavoring to your base, a steeping period will be required, depending on the flavoring used. The steeping period allows the aromatic molecules to mix properly with your base so that they can express their full potential

The nicotine in boosters requires some precautions when handling. We therefore recommend that you wear gloves and protective eyewear for safe handling.

In addition, boosters, nicotine base, or your DIY e-liquids should be stored away from light, out of the reach of children or pets, and under lock and key if possible.
