Geekvape Aegis Solo 5 Kit

Geekvape presents the fifth generation of its Aegis Solo kit, which this time consists of the Aegis Solo 5 mod and the Z Subohm Tank 5 clearomizer.

Equipped with the AS Chip 4.0 chipset, this single-battery mod is capable of delivering up to 100W and operates using an 18650 or 21700 battery.

Thanks to its IP68 certification, this kit is built to withstand everyday use (dust and splash resistance).

As for the Z Subohm 5 clearomizer, it comes with two Z XM coils and is designed for enthusiasts of airy draws with direct lung (DL) vaping.

True to previous models, the Aegis Solo 5 features the same design with similar contours, measuring 146.1x31x42.5mm and weighing 218g.

Two functioning modes

Turning your kit on or off is very simple. Once you've inserted the 18650 battery (with the included adapter) or 21700 battery, press the Fire button 5 times in a row.

Once the mod is turned on, the AS Chip 4.0 chipset lets you switch between two distinct modes:

• SMART Mode: The mod detects the installed coil and automatically adjusts the power accordingly, without any action on your part
• POWER Mode: You manually set the power from 5 to 100 Ws

To switch between modes, quickly press the Fire button three times, navigate to MODE, and select the mode that suits you.

On the side, there is an A-Lock button that lets you lock the device with a single gesture to prevent accidental activation or changes while it's in your pocket or bag when you're on the go.

When you slide the A-Lock button upward, a red light indicates that the device is locked. Conversely, when you slide the A-Lock button downward, a blue light indicates that the device is unlocked.

Another way to lock your device is to press both control buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. To unlock the kit, repeat the same process.

Additionally, its IP68 certification provides protection against dust and splashes, making your kit highly durable for everyday use.

A single 21700 or 18650 battery kit

The Aegis Solo 5 works with a 21700 or 18650 battery (not included). An adapter is included in the box, giving you the choice between the longer runtime of a 21700 and the more compact size of an 18650.

To install your battery, pull on the battery door latch located beneath the mod, then unscrew the door. Next, slide the battery into its compartment, making sure to follow the indicated polarity, and then carefully close the door.

A protected USB-C port

The device is equipped with a USB-C 5V/2A port that allows you to charge the battery directly.

To charge your kit, simply lift the silicone protective cover located on the top and front of your mod, connect a USB-C cable (not included), and plug it into an external power source (computer, power bank, or wall outlet).

Please note, however, that we recommend using a dedicated external charger whenever possible to preserve the battery's lifespan.

A DL-oriented clearomizer

This kit includes the Z Subohm Tank 5 clearomizer, a 29mm-diameter model with a damask finish that accommodates an 810-style drip tip, designed for direct-lung (DL) vaping.

Its Pyrex tank has a capacity of 5.5ml.

The Z Subohm Tank 5 comes with two Z Series coils (XM 0.2 ohm and X6 0.4 ohm). It is also compatible with all coils in the Z Series collection, as well as the Z XM Boost coils.

Two Z XM Coils

Geekvape includes two Z XM coils with this kit, both designed for direct lung (DL) vaping:

• 1 Z XM 0.20ohm coil (pre-installed): for use between 70 and 80W
• 1 Z XM 0.40ohm coil: for use between 50 and 60W

To replace a worn-out coil, follow the steps below:

1. Unscrew the base of the Z Subohm Tank 5 clearomizer
2. Remove the worn-out coil
3. Soak the new coil with a few drops of e-liquid
4. Insert it into its compartment
5. Screw the base of the clearomizer back on
6. Fill the tank, then wait a few minutes before vaping

A convenient, leak-proof top airflow system

The Z Subohm Tank 5 features an airflow system located at the top of the clearomizer.

This type of airflow helps minimize e-liquid leaks. Additionally, its rotating ring allows you to adjust the opening to suit your desired draw: the more open the vents are, the greater the airflow and the airier the draw.

How to fill the tank?

The 5.5 ml tank is filled from the top using a sliding top cap. To fill the tank:

1. Slide the top cap to expose the fill port
2. Insert the tip of your e-liquid bottle into the designated opening
3. Fill the tank
4. Replace the top cap and close it
5. Wait a few minutes if you’re using a new coil to allow the cotton to soak up the e-liquid properly
