This allows you to adjust the output power based on the resistance value of the coil installed in the pod.

The B Series Coils

Versatile in terms of draw, the Aegis Hero 5 comes with two coils from Geekvape's B Series.

Choose the one that suits you based on your desired vaping experience:

• 1 0.4ohm B Series Mesh Coil: use between 25 and 33W for a semi-airy draw with restricted direct (RDL) vaping
• 1 0.2ohm B Series Mesh Coil (pre-installed): use between 50 and 58W for an airy draw with direct (DL) vaping

After two to three weeks of use, the coil will show signs of wear, such as a loss of flavor or a slight burnt taste.

It will then be time to replace it with a new one.

To do so:

1. Remove the cartridge from its magnetic base
2. Turn it upside down
3. Pull on the coil to remove it from its housing
4. Soak a new coil with a few drops of e-liquid
5. Then insert it into its housing in place of the old one
6. Reconnect the cartridge to the podmod
7. Fill the tank with e-liquid
8. Wait a few minutes before vaping so that the new coil can prime properly

A top-airflow podmod

The Aegis Hero 5 is designed to be highly versatile in terms of draw, thanks in particular to its compatibility with B Series coils.

But that’s not all!

In fact, Geekvape has equipped the kit with an airflow adjustment system, located on the top of the cartridge.

So, depending on your preferred vaping style, rotate the airflow ring to open or close the air intake.

The more you restrict it, the tighter your draw will be. Conversely, the more you open it, the airier your vape will be!

A 6.5ml top-fill tank

To enhance the performance and convenience of this kit, Geekvape has opted for a top-fill system.

This means you don't need to remove the cartridge from its base to fill your 6.5ml tank!

All you need to do is:

1. Lift the silicone membrane located on top of the cartridge
2. Insert the narrow tip of your bottle into the fill port
3. Pour in your e-liquid
4. Carefully close the flap

Is your coil new? Don’t forget to wait 5 to 10 minutes before vaping so that it can properly soak up the e-liquid.
