Xtar Light MX8 Charger

The MX8 charger by Xtar Light is a smart charger with eight independent charging slots.

It supports multiple types of rechargeable batteries simultaneously and automatically determines the appropriate current and charging protocol for each slot.

Its built-in LCD screen and PD- and QC-compatible USB-C port make it an accessory that can be used both at home and on the go.

A charger compatible with multiple battery types

The MX8 supports e-cigarette batteries in the following formats:

• Li-ion 3.6/3.7V: 10440, 14500, 16340, 18500, 18650, 21700

Note: This charger also supports 1.5V Li-ion batteries (AA and AAA sizes) and 1.2V Ni-MH batteries (AA and AAA sizes).

8 independent compartments

Do you need to charge multiple batteries? The MX8 is equipped with eight compartments, each of which operates independently. This means you can insert different types or sizes of batteries to charge them simultaneously.

Note that the available charging current varies depending on the battery type and the number of compartments in use:

• For 4 or fewer 3.6/3.7V Li-ion batteries: slots 1, 2, 7, and 8 charge at 1A; slots 3, 4, 5, and 6 are limited to 0.5A
• For 5 or more 3.6/3.7V Li-ion batteries: all slots are limited to 0.5A

An LCD screen and a USB-C port

The LCD screen displays the charge status of each of the eight slots in real time.

When a battery is inserted, the battery type icon flashes during the identification phase, then remains lit once the battery has been detected. While charging, the charge level indicators progress in successive stages until they remain steady when the battery is fully charged.

The USB-C port is compatible with PD (12V/1.67A) and QC (9V/2A) protocols.

This allows the charger to be powered from various sources: a wall adapter, a laptop, a power bank, or a car cigarette lighter socket.

The charger also includes the following safety protections: short circuit, overcurrent, overheating, overvoltage, overload, and reverse polarity.

Please note: We remind you that it is important to follow a few rules to ensure your safety. It is essential to transport your batteries in appropriate cases to prevent any incidents.

You should also keep your small batteries away from heat sources and inspect their casing before each use. If you notice any damage, do not use them.

Finally, when installing your batteries in the designated slots on your devices, also check that the compartment shows no traces of e-liquid.

When recharging, use a dedicated external charger. This is better suited for the task and will ensure a longer battery life, while protecting you from short circuits, power surges, or overcharging.
